Nothing yet I don't think, but I'll look for some more info and post it later tonight or tomorrow for you IWannaBeAnon. I think it's ironic they were mistreated by police in the Jefferson Memorial.
The first couple probably did something they shouldnt have or were being disruptive and when told by the officers they had to stop they didnt...So they were resisting the law, got what they deserved in my opinion. They had several chances to yield and refused. The second guy provoked the arrest and then resisted, the cop was in full rights to slam him.
Yes cops abusing their power sucks, but don't lump all of them together. There are good cops who should be praised for their sacrifice and putting their lives on the line everyday
Yes I agree all the way with both of you, I was just so angered about this I didn't really think about it, but yes there are so many cops out there who do the right thing, then there are jerks who abuse the powers they are given.
That's unfortunate. It's hard to tell with the video if any of the others did anything to provoke the police violence while off screen. It seems a bit ridiculous to be arrested for dancing, and contradictory to what America is supposed to be about. The setting only amplifies that irony. The man in white who immediately submitted I think got the worst treatment, falling to the ground and roughly handcuffed. However, the man in sunglasses who resisted arrest, albeit pretty violent, was preventing himself from being restrained. You should never resist arrest.
It is too bad some police abuse their power, tarnishing the image of a praiseworthy role in society.
you have to wonder what they justify the reason for arresting the dancing couple as? i could understand asking them to stop (sort of) as they may see pda as potentially making other visitors to the memorial uncomfortable, but still this is just ridiculous
that is unreal, any info on what happened next?
